Mausoleum Decorating

Mt. Olivet Memorial Park

Rules and Regulations for Indoor, Memorial Chapel

Our Memorial Chapel is a peaceful place for families to visit loved ones who have passed.  In addition, we hold services in our chapel daily.  As our chapel is now almost full, it has become important to develop rules for decorating so all families have equal opportunity and space to leave decorations for their loved ones.  As a result, Mt. Olivet officially adopts the following list of rules and regulations regarding the placing of decorations in our Memorial Chapel:

·         Only one decoration per crypt or niche is allowed.  Decorations must have the last name of the deceased on them.  This allows for the cemetery to ensure proper placement of decorations if we have to move them for services or maintenance.

·         Any decorations that are unsightly will be removed and discarded.  These include but are not limited to wilted flowers, faded decorations, etc.

·         Only fresh cut, silk or plastic flowers are allowed in our Memorial Chapel.

·         No decorations shall cover or block another crypt.

·         No stickers, statuary, photo frames or other unapproved decorations may be left in the Chapel.

·         Under no circumstances can any object be attached to a crypt or niche.

·         With the exception of fresh cut flowers, all decorations must be appropriate to the decorating season.

Prearrangement

Dying is one of the few events in life that's certain to occur, yet one we rarely plan for. Should we spend more time preparing for a two week vacation than we do our last days on Earth?
